Manuel de Jesus Martin & Maria Nemecia Vigil

Manuel de Jesus Martin was born in 1853 to Jose Ramon Martin and Maria Francisca Garcia.  Siblings include:  Juan Ygnacio, Pedro, Juan Jose, Maria Juana, and Jose Agapito Martin.  He married Maria Nemecia Vigil, daughter of Jose Dolores Vigil and Maria Josefa Martin on January 9, 1888.  Nemecia's siblings include:  Octaviana, Ursula, Rufina, Urbano, and Juliana Vigil.  Her half-siblings from Jose's first marriage for Maria Ygnacia Abeyta include: Juana Maria, Jose Lino, Cornelio, Jose Polonio, and Maria Quirina Vigil. 

Antonio Maria Martinez was born 16 May 1889 in Gauchupangue, Rio Arriba, New Mexico to Manuel de Jesus Martin and Maria Nemecia Vigil.  Antonio Martinez died on 05 May 1966 in Sacramento, California.  He is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery, Sacramento, California.  He married Amelia Mestas on 05 May 1910 in Pueblo, Colorado, daughter of Jose Secundino Mestas and Maria Hilaria Nunez.  She was born on 05 Jan 1892 in Crestone, CO, and died 05 Nov 1918 in Alamosa, CO.  He then married Rebecca Romero on 23 Jun 1922 in Alamosa, Colorado, daughter of Jose Tranquilino Romero and Maria Eduvigen Jaramillo.  She was born 01 Nov 1900 in Conejos, Colorado, and died in childbirth on 25 Jan 1935 in Alamosa, Colorado.

Amelia Mestas was born on January 5, 1892 in Crestone, Colorado, the daughter of Jose Secundino Mestas and Maria Hilaria Nunez.  She married Antonio Maria Martinez on May 5, 1910 in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of Manuel de Jesus Martin and Maria Nemecia Vigil.  Amelia died on November 5, 1918 from the Spanish Flu.  Children born to Antonio and Amelia include:  Mary (d. 2002), Jose Hilario (d. 2005), Cirilio (d. 1915), Emanuel (Murello) (d. 1975), and Margaret (d. 2006).

  Rebecca Romero was born 01 Nov 1900 in Conejos, Colorado, the daughter of Jose Tranquilino Romero and Maria Eduvigen Jaramillo. She married Dionicio Gallegos on 12 Nov 1917 in Alamosa, Colorado, son of Donaciano Gallegos and Maria Tranquilina Jaramillo.  Dionicio died October 8, 1919, five months after the birth of their son Juan Rodolfo Gallegos (better known as Johnny). Johnny died on May 11, 1947 on Mother's Day in Carbon, Utah at the age of 27. 

She married Antonio Maria Martinez on 23 Jun 1922 in Alamosa, Colorado, son of Manuel de Jesus Martin and Maria Nemecia Vigil.   Rebecca died on January 25, 1935 in childbirth.  Together Antonio and Rebecca had Eva (still living), Rudolfo (d. ~1925), Rozanne (d. 1927), Josephine (d. 2005), Theresa (d. 1979), Patricia (d. 2009), and Pauline (still living).
